Your First Visit to Our Fairlawn Practice
New patients often remark how “homey” our office is. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding.
Make Yourself at Home
Upon entering our office you will notice the inviting colors and relaxing ambiance, as well as our helpful and friendly staff. It is reasonable to expect a 1 hour and fifteen minute encounter on your first visit with us.
We have some paperwork that will need to be completed, which takes about 15 minutes. This helps us to better understand your condition(s) and health concerns. Upon completion of your forms a trained chiropractic assistant will escort you to one of our exam rooms where your vitals are obtained (these are blood pressure, height, weight, pulse, respiration). A thorough consultation, including a health history and examination is performed by Dr. Pramik. The examination is very helpful in determining if your condition is indeed a Chiropractic condition or one that requires another type of speciality or health care. The consultation and exam is easy and usually comfortable for patients.
A large amount of information is gathered during this time. If and when indicated, radiographic X-rays are preformed on the same visit. X-rays are taken by the Doctor and are done so using a high frequency x-ray along with rare-earth x-ray cassettes and high speed exposure films. This enables us to achieve high quality x-rays of the area(s) of concern while exposing the patient to a minimal amount of x-ray. After the examination, patients are usually placed on a therapy table and given interferential muscle massage along with hot or cold modalities to enhance its' effects. The therapies feel terrific and leave the patient feeling comfortable after the initial evaluation.
We take time to schedule you for a follow up appointment after your therapy. At this time, co-payments or deductibles can be satisfied and ample time set aside for your follow up which will include a one-on-one report of positive exam findings along with visual description of your x-rays. Yes, you will actually see your x-rays and have them explained.
