A Typical Office Visit
After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.
A typical office visit is about 30 minutes from entry to exit. After signing in, you should expect a five minute or less wait to be seen.
Frequently we will administer deep tissue interferential muscle massage to multiple areas for times of 15 minutes. This enables the muscles and ligaments to heal and relax. The therapy also helps to naturally manage pain without the use of harmful drugs. In conjunction with therapy hot and or cold modalities are added to assist in the removal of muscle and nerve bi-products during the injury and healing phases of recovery. After therapies, the patient
is taken to a private treatment room
for a genuine Chiropractic adjustment.
The adjustments are performed by hand and are quite comfortable to receive. Often times a mild "popping" can be felt as the treatment is performed. Deep tissue massage is often performed by Dr. Pramik prior to manipulating the spine. This enables the body to effectively relax, making the corrective adjustment easy and pleasant. As a patient responds favorably to care, the frequency of corrective adjustments is decreased according to their response to care.
Active physical therapy including stretching, strengthening, core stabilization, and postural awareness is then incorporated. This is achieved in-office and demonstrated thoroughly using low-tech, take home rehab devices that will enable the average person to take control of their own spinal stability and health.
As a person becomes healthier and more stable in health, a maintenance schedule is determined and suggested for optimal lifetime benefits. Patients are encouraged to maintain better health through Chiropractic care and exercise, but the final say is always by you, the patient.
